Evaluation of Anatomical Structures and Variations in Dental Implant Surgery

For implant surgeries, evaluating the morphology of the alveolar bone and identifying anatomical variations in the region where the implant will be placed is crucial. The detection of anatomical structures and variations in the region can prevent complications that may occur during and after the operation. It is well known that using panoramic radiographs only is insufficient in dental implant procedures. Cone-beam computer tomography images are vital for visualising the three-dimensional anatomy for implant procedures, but these images must be evaluated accurately. In this presentation, the anatomical structures and variations located in the mandible and maxilla are examined in light of the evidence present in the literature.
