Dr. Gürkan Ünsal

He graduated from Private İstanbul Ar-El Science High School in 2010 with 100% scholarship and Near East University Faculty of Dentistry in 2015 with 100% scholarship. In 2019, he completed his PhD by defending his thesis titled ‘’Radiological and Histopathological Features of Periosteal Reactions in Jaw Bones’’ at İstanbul University Faculty of Dentistry. In 2021, he graduated from Anadolu University, Web Design and Coding department. He started working as full-time lecturer in 2019 at Near East University, Faculty of Dentistry and he’s still a lecturer at Near East University Experimental Health Sciences Research Center (DESAM), Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Group. In 2021, he joined the Focus Group on Artificial Intelligence for Health (FG-AI4H) as a researcher which is an interagency collaboration of the World Health Organization and International Telecommunication Industry Association. He’s a member of the Young Researcher Committee of Oral Diagnosis and Maxillofacial Radiology Society (ODMFR) and Specialization Committee member at European Academy of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology (EADMFR). He has published 19 articles in international dentistry journals and medical journals.
