Trends in Periodontal Therapy

The effects of developing technology on dentistry have emerged strikingly in recent years. The introduction of new materials and instruments in the field of periodontology has gradually started to leave behind the conventional methods used in the diagnosis and treatment process. These innovations provide very successful results both for the clinican and the patient. In this presentation, conventional and new approaches used in non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatment will be discussed in the context of cases.

Prof. Dr. Hare Gürsoy graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2001. In 2005, she recieved the titles of Doctor (PhD) and Specialist from the Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology of the same university. Since 2006, she has been a faculty member at Yeditepe University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology. She recieved the titles of Associate Professor in 2015 and Professor in 2021. She was selected by Eczacıbaşı in 2021 and completed the Biogaia ACADEMY Experts program in Sweden and received her "Probiotic Expert" diploma.

She has many national and international publications and she is the Periodontology Program Coordinator accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology. She is the member of Turkish Society of Periodontology and European Federation of Periodontology. She is also board member of the Dental Laser Academy Association and delegate of Turkish Dental Association.
