Professionalism in clinical management

Revolutionary developments have occurred in dentistry in the last 30 years thanks to the technological innovations and increased awareness of patients. No matter how we provide healthcare services as dentists, the impact of clinical management in addition to the service we provide on the scope of these services is beyond what is perceived.

With a view to achieving long term success at our clinics and creating a working environment that adds value for both ourselves and our teams, we need to improve our managerial skills and implement certain principles. As we incorporate this system consisting of several aspects from creation of organizational culture to forming right teams, from effective patient communication to the monitoring of financial analysis into our practice, we can achieve the highest performance as a team, get professionalized and standardize the quality of service we provide.

In this presentation, managerial processes that support successful dentistry practices will be discussed based on the concept of 13 Golden Methods.

Dr. Kübel Özkut graduated from Istanbul University Dentistry Faculty in 1996.

She got her MBA degree from Yeditepe University, Institute of Graduate Studies in Social Sciences, Master of Business Administration-with concentration in Healthcare Management in 2003. She received her master degree from Siena University on “prosthodontics, esthetics and digital dentistry”in 2020. She gives consultations and lectures on Management of Health Organizations via the concept she created “13 Golden Methods”.

She became Adjunct Professor of Business and Administration in the Faculty of the School of Dental Medicine and in the Faculty of Residency Master Program in “Prosthodontics Sciences” at the Siena University, Italy. She is visiting lecturer at Acıbadem University, Istanbul.

Since 2009 she is the clinic director of Acıbadem Health Group, Dental Department of Maslak Hospital. She is practicing specifically on esthetics, advanced restorative and digital dentistry.

Dr. Kübel Ozkut is president of EDAD (Turkish Academy of Esthetic Dentistry) and scientific committee member of EADD (European Academy of Digital Dentistry), member of EAO (Europian Academy Of Osseointegration) and ESCD (European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry).
