AUTO AND ALLOGENIC MATERIALS FOR ALVEOLAR BONE & SOCKET RECONSTRUCTION
Autografts, allografts and xenogeneic or alloplastic materials are commonly used for regenerative procedures. Autograft is still considered the gold standard, because of its properties, however, its harvesting is associated with potential, additional complications. For these reasons, there is a growing interest in using the extracted tooth as an autogenous bone graft material, due to the fact, that its composition is similar to the cortical bone. Removed tooth may, in a few minutes, become an immediate bacteria-free graft material, which undergo ankylosis and provide a stable bone-dentin tissue with slow remodeling process. Different possibility of harvested autografts and different methods of their usage will be presented on case series presentation. In case of advanced bone loss is necessary provide individualized bone reconstruction using auto or allo bone plates (BBM technique) or 3D customized bone block. Modern technique for management bone loss around tooth or edentolus areas will be described.
