Introduction to Basic Implantology

In this presentation, the historical development of implantology and its basic principles will be discussed. Moreover, information about certain topics such as basic principles in implant planning, platform switching concept, healing of bone tissue around implant and implant placement in the right position will be presented. Hence, aspects related to basic implantology will be discussed successfully in the light of biological and prosthetic information.
